Running a (sort of) weekly cleanup of things and I updated Spybot. It now checks for over 40 thousand threats. What’s scary is that there are still people who either have no clue about firewalls / av etc or those that are just so arrogant and say they don’t need it The former can to an extent be forgiven because their ISP should be doing their work properly (Couple of years ago I noticed I was being scanned by a Zen IP address. I emailed them. They mailed me back to say they had told the person their machine had malware in and that they had better clean it up. More ISP’s should do that). The latter just need their connections taking off them. But 40,000 is a lot.
(Cue the smartass comments from non-Windows users…)
