From the BBC article which explains that the bank are to use “more colloquial” terms:

Customers will be beckoned into branch with a sign in the window reading: “Through this door walk the nicest people in the world”.

Manager use the side entrance then ?
And what about those shy people with helmets and guns ?

People waiting in the personal banking area will be invited to sit down with the sign “Take the weight off your feet.”

That’s fatist ! And what about people in wheelchairs ? Tut tut

Customer service will have new signs asking “Can I help?”

A truer sign would be “We might say yes….”

and finally they are

ditching pens on chains

so that’ll be those tiny pens we get in Argos and at the bookies then…
