Aural and Visual 2011

Most of these were released in 2011 and the others were new to me in 2011.

Albums
Bit of a mix here but each one is more than excellent and have been played multiple times and still sound as good as when I first heard them.
The World Is Yours by Motörhead (heavy metal)
6E 61 32 by CoLD SToRAGE (electronic)
All Talk by Girl Talk (mashup)

Background Music
I love cinematic music as background when working and this one extended track is top of that tree.
Two Steps From Hell – Heart of Courage

Music Video
Love P!nk’s voice and the video means something for once. I think Christine Aguilera has the best female voice (great track too) and the dance is superb. Of the many covers by Cyrin this is my favourite.
P!nk – F**kin’ Perfect
IGLIDE | Christina Aguilera | DUBSTEP
Maxence Cyrin – Where Is My Mind (The Pixies Piano Cover)

TV series
This was a TV series back in 1996 and I missed parts of it and it’s release on DVD was well overdue. It is by a very long way the best TV series I have ever seen and probably ever will. It makes me smile, makes me sad and there isn’t any part of it that is filler. Very highly recommended. (Don’t read the Amazon reviews as it will spoil it for you. Just buy it.)
Our Friends in the North

Books
Published in 2010 but new to me. Read on one sitting and it’s that good I never want to see the film – it would destroy my own vision.
Kazuo Ishiguro – Never Let Me Go

Film
Nonsense but great fun. Looking at all the films that I’ve seen this year this is the one that stands out as being really enjoyable to watch. No, it’s not taxing on the mind or full of special effects and the plot is thin but it’s still great.
The Tourist

Game
The PS3 version is laggy, has bugs but the overall game is almost certainly the best one I have ever played (and I’ve played hundreds).
Skyrim

Cheap CoLD SToRAGE

CoLD SToRAGE Tim Wright is selling his work cheap for a short space of time. I very much recommend 6E 61 32 and CoLD SToRAGE HD but as I have them all no buying for me.
Not sure who he is? He created music for a ton of video games including WipeOut, WipeOut 2097, Sensible Soccer, Lemmings and many more
