She was the first character in SSX 3 that I completed Golds in everything with no upgrades.
If you check the trailer (same as this) at videogameblog there is an advisory of “Mild Lyrics Mild Violence”. Can someone please define “Mild”? Has some Lawyer in the USA decreed what words and in what context the word “Mild” should be used – or is this some wishy-washy way to try and appease some frothy-mouthed parent?

Skyrim break

I’ve killed Aldiun, explored everywhere and done all the main quests and all the thieves / Dark Brotherhood / Companions etc bar the civil war ones which I can’t complete because I brokered the truce too quickly. A few trophies left – war related, get 1000 bounty in all Holds. Hours played – around 250 and I’m running a significant sleep overdraft. So it’s time to take a break from the game before my next play through. What to play that is so epic? One from Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3 or Fallout: New Vegas probably.

Freebie Skyrim

I go to a lot of work and detail producing a good bug report for Bethesda and their bugged-as-hell version of Skyrim and get the most basic generic ‘thanks’ email arrives. Which implies that (1) they are swamped with them (so they shouldn’t have just shoved it out the door replete with bugs or (2) they don’t give a crap and never bothered to read it. Either is poor. Still, the PC version is meant to be better and I have already bought the game..

Walking to a bug

Had sent an email to Bethesda asking how fixes for the PS3 version of Skyrim. I may have logged an amazing amount of time playing it but the bugs are pretty bad. They got back to me, asked for a zip of the save file, some details and any information about problems. Spent around 90 minutes detailing several journeys around the land including repeating a journey twice and lag appeared in different places, dying to one dragon yet killing it in an exact copy of actions and more and in the end described a path toward game-breaking lag. Hopefully they see the same. I’ve done my little bit toward a fix because the latest update didn’t affect lag. Didn’t show 4 quests as being complete either.

My next character – because I will be playing this again – will be an Elf. Specialise in Archery (again), Sneak (again) but Pickpocketing and not Destruction. I’ll also have no companion and will enchant. Not sure about Alchemy. And I’ll up the difficulty level too. Will make for a different experience.

Last night I gave up on the mess in Breezehome and bought Proudspire Manor in Solitude. Turns out that all I needed to do was clear the cave as I’d done the extra stuff already. Took ages to move most of my stuff. So now I have a cupboard for jewels, one for potions, one for jewellery, one for armor and one for weapons (I still have to move these and will sell all the dupes/basic stuff). Ores/Ingots are in the undecorated Alchemy room. Books can stay at Breezehome. (Next playthrough I’ll only keep what I absolutely have to. The rest won’t be taken). I need to sell stuff because one can only use one bow at once can’t one.

Took a giant down last night with two arrows. Falmer arrows.

Got to Blackreach last night. Very odd place indeed.

Hours played? More than I’ll admit to now.

Cheap CoLD SToRAGE

CoLD SToRAGE Tim Wright is selling his work cheap for a short space of time. I very much recommend 6E 61 32 and CoLD SToRAGE HD but as I have them all no buying for me.
Not sure who he is? He created music for a ton of video games including WipeOut, WipeOut 2097, Sensible Soccer, Lemmings and many more

Vita away

I’ve had the PS Vita on pre-order at Amazon from the day I could place it – and I just cancelled it. It’ll be region locked. It’ll be locked to 1 PSN account so no sharing games at home. The playing of older games is still up in the air. Not good. So despite wanting the first one that’ll be cracked wide open in days I’ll wait for Sony to change their tiny minds or the crackers to do a good job. It’s not like the price can go up is it? My days of being an early adopter are behind me.
