Wait for fox, show the chicken, throw the chicken toward it, wipe hands, point camera and start clicking hopefully. These are untouched. Top image was the first piece of chicken, second and third are sequential.

The dogs … were killed with a captive bolt gun of the kind used in abattoirs to stun livestock before slaughter.

I never have and never would support the fabulously rich RSPCA. Seeing that EIGHT people said this was good just makes me glad I didn’t and ensures I never will.
Finally got a few more shots of the squirrels we have. There are 5 grown and apparently 2 young (D saw them playing earlier this week) and they eat (take/bury) a mass of nuts.

The images could be better, have not been processed and the window I was lying up against could have been cleaner but they show the tree rats well enough.
A few more here.

See the nut container? We can’t. The tree rat and his mate had it away yesterday. It’s not broken or hidden. It has completely left garden. No trace at all. Impressive. I shall buy another…..
(That pic is so much better full size. It’s come through fairly badly).
And just after this pic we had some sort of hawk come diving into the garden. Sat on the fence for about a minute scoping things out then soared into a tree at the back. I think he has tree rat on his menu….
Finally got the password-free ssh logins working from the Mini and the PC. I was missing doing the cat ~/.ssh/id_dsa.pub >> ~/.ssh/authorized_keys after upload (thinking a rename was okay) and then using PuTTYgen to convert the .dsa file on the Mac to a .ppk on here. So now the Mac logs me straight in and the PC wants my username. Much better :) And all this to run ‘svn up’ every 2 or 3 days. And play with vi / nano. But it’s something learned.
Still after a default image viewer that does literally just that and no more – in Windows it’s the default image and fax viewer. I don’t want to be opening a graphics app just to see a small screenshot of a problem. And I was looking at NNW earlier and thinking that if only it had what Feeddemon does (which I bought and I’d rather not have 2 paid versions just yet and I have no online money till March anyway) I could happily switch today. Literally turn the PC off and see just how long it took me to turn it back on through need. I’ll do that in two weeks I think. That gives me a week to find a few more things to do. It’s got the launch time of a broken catapult but when it’s up it’s not too bad.

Wasn’t sure how to frame the little guy given the backdrop… and yeah, the grass needs mowing :)
