So Reddit will make $100 million this year yet they are completely incapable of answering mods who have questions.
I help mod a sub that has over 500,000 users.
I have sent mails to the reddit admins multiple times.
They ignore them.
I adblock anyway but reddit? Fuck them.
If you are on Chrome .. lol .. yeah .. just give up. Why TF do you use spyware for personal browsing?
You need uMatrix and uBlock Origin. Block their ad systems.
Wasting time on reddit is fine, but at the very least do it in a way that makes those inconsiderate idiots zero money.
On Firefox I use uMatrix, uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger and Ghostery. Overkill? Maybe but I don’t care.
Ads on mobile I hate even more. But now? Blokada to the rescue.
It’s open source.
It’s Android only.
And it works.
Allowing acceptable ads in Adblock Plus.
But then you should really be using comprehensive filters with that anyway.
US judge: Ad-pushers may be liable for ‘facilitating’ website piracy
A district court judge in Massachusetts said that ad networks that have knowledge of infringing activity and provide an “essential” service that helps website operators enable that infringement on a “massive scale” can be found liable for that infringement if they are “intimately and causally involved in a vast number of infringing transactions”.
Who’d be the main company in the frame there….
My girls seem to be cynical and realistic enough to see straight through this sort of thing but it’s a shame it’s all pushed so hard.
It’s just your mind.
Very good. Just shows what ad execs think sells. (src: Reddit)
