There is a bright blue object near the centre of the picture. It wasn’t there yesterday, it will disappear late Sunday / early Monday. It’s a toilet. More specifically it is a urinal.
So of an evening after much beer men can use that instead of a street corner or the river. Must feel odd the first few times you use it (I nearly said flip it out in public) but it is also a really good idea. And it really is a toilet – watch and see the body language used later. At no other time anywhere do men use those positions. As my wife says though – what about the women?
We have these strange lifing toilets that appear out of the ground at some point in the evening until the morning.
Again though, what about the women?
Having pondered it must be that women have not been arrested for or been causing problems by urinating up/on/around buildings. It therefore follows that ladies do not get to that point of needing to pee between scheduled (or unscheduled but properly equipped) pitstops. So if there is no problem there is no need for a solution :)
I think the ‘She-Pee’ is the female add-on they would need to use the blokes urinal…
In the discussion Jacq and I had about this toilet I said about men peeing up buildings and that women do not. J said they could not, I said of course women can pee standing up to which she replied that was not the point. It’s the mechanics – a man flips it out of his trousers and has to expose no more. But regardless of what a woman wears she has to expose more clothing / more skin and that has more consequences. She does have a point there, not sure how you could use anything for a lady that was good for jeans through to a full dress. Of course if you try to please just a few you’d get yelled at so better maybe to pretend that ladies just do no need the loo anyway :)
