Burnout Paradise. One race left and then all but 2 stunt runs. The race is from a junction north of Silver Lake to Waterfront Plaza and the second turn from the end I just keep screwing up. I either turn too soon and drop onto a rail track or spin a little late and overshoot. Really annoying. But in the Carbon X12 the Road and Showtime Rules are easy enough.
Xor (also known as The Best Puzzle Game Ever). Downloaded (along with everyone else) Crossover last night but Xor will not run properly. It is not supported though so I have no complaints. What it does run though is Grim Fandango but only in fullscreen. I’m pretty sure this is unsupported too. (GF needs 1300MB for a full install, 4MB video RAM and requires a Pentium 133. Who says you need the latest and greatest? Parallels will run Xor very nicely, but it can’t handle the graphics in GF. Again not something I can complain about. If only Crossover would let the -w switch work I’d be really happy.
And I gave up trying to install XP onto the eeePC 701 this evening. Kept hitting errors no matter what I did and following the eeePC forums didn’t help for some reason. No matter though – the hardware doesn’t change even if the OS does. Might have a crack at Ubuntu though. That said, you can nlite XP down to a few hundred MB – I have no idea how small Ubuntu can be made.
