The name "Highcross Quarter" sounded so pretentious, only property developers could have thought it was a good idea. What was wrong with The Shires anyway? To be fair, I should point out (and I'm in no way connected with either party involved) that the witches didn't try to extort any money from Hammerson. They turned down an offer to sell the name. They were trying to protect what they consider to be their heritage. And the epilogue is that the United Nations WIPO agreed with them!
