Logitech – 49MB mouse driver

LX-7. The Setpoint install weighs in a shade under 49MB. To control a mouse? The process alone is 12MB. Screw the ‘Hah it’s Windows’ nonsense because I’m sure Logitech stuff can work on other things but is this normal? Is this yet another example of sloppy code thrown together because the PC has enough memory? And if the process is 12meg what’s the other 37 doing? This is a Gaming mouse – and it has that much resources? The number of guides that exist about tweaking a system to game properly and yet you attach one of these things and promptly undo all the good work. Or is Logitech code tightly written with not a byte wasted? And if it is – what is that other 37meg doing?
