I mean mp3, .ape, aac and the rest of course.
I’ve got loads of music tagged but depending on what ripped it the tagging is all different which annoys me. So … playing around I can’t decide if
number – track – artist – album
number – track – artist
number – artist – track
track – artist
number – track
artist – track .. lots of combinations.
The top one makes most sense …. guess I need to play

If I’m reading it right then I would go for Artist>>Album>>Number + Track
Seems most logical to me to combine Track and it’s number together. That way the PC will sort them according to Artist then Album name and then track in numerical order?
I name them number – track. But theyre tagged number-track-album-artist
I use directories for album and artists
but if I was to go all out for track names I’d use
artist – album – number – track
When you concider sorting by name, it makes lots more sense.
