Tired and My dick is bigger than yours

My eyes hurt I’m that tired – but seeing as P. said earlier that she doesn’t have any chores like all her friends…. and there are 9 days of potential bribery ….

Did I say Dick ? Oops.. I meant sig. For a few reasons that will remain private (for now) I have had to trawl forums, usenet and mailing lists to seek information (and for those of you thinking it’s to do with one certain thing – you are wrong). I am fed up of seeing unsnipped posts, top-posts (it might be quicker for you when doing it but it makes information retrieval ten times harder) and humungous sigs. A forum I was in yesterday was about 3 screens tall. It had 10 lines of posted information ten lines only. The rest of that page was taken up by fair chunk of necessary markup and then MASSIVE damn sigs. Oh yes, and those stupid animated gifs that are amusing – maybe – the first AND ONLY THE FIRST time they are seen. Have a little static image – that’s fine. Have a single line sig – that too is fine. But an animated gif + a banner jpg + several lines of crap (and this is without the LOLOMGWTFL33TGR8M8 bollocks too) is just taking it beyond what someone looking for purposeful information should have to endure. I even saw a usenet sig that MUST have been in excess of 100 lines and it was that ASCII junk making out a character – how damn sad was the person doing that just to post to usenet!. FFS. And if I see another “Me too!” I’ll scream.
Get a bloody grip – use a short sig that actually means something, snip appropriately and NEVER EVER EVER top post. This is old:

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?

A: Top-posting.
Q: What is the most annoying thing on usenet and in e-mail?

Screws. I need to write about screws. Inanimate objects rule right now.
