Nicnotine

It’s a week since I’ve had a cigarette.
No patches, no replacement stuff, nothing. Went to bed last Thursday night telling myself that I really ought to stop, and have done.
Motivations: financial really. Healthwise I couldn’t really care right now, but the cost was beyond justification.

  1. Hang in there with it Mark. I gave up about 4 1/2 months ago and really glad I did. I’ve put on a bit of weight but I can get rid of that.

Overall, I have saved heaps of money already and although I could still pick one up a cigarette very easily, financially it has been a great move. Win the lottery tomorrow and I would probably start again. It’s wrong, it’s stupid, it’s unhealthy and yet, even with all the negatives – I enjoyed it.

A true drug in every sense of the word…

  2. Well done! I plan on going cold turkey myself on Monday after being a smoker for 16 years. I’ve tried to quit before, but this time I’m determined!

My motivation is both health (I have asthma) and financial. I plan on treating myself to something with the money I’ve saved at the end of 4 smoke free weeks.
